A Ritual for The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Scorpio

A Ritual for The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Scorpio

New Moon in Scorpio Ritual

It’s the first Eclipse of Eclipse season, and it’s quite an intense one, being in Scorpio. This New Moon is all about transformation – transformation of power, of relationships and perhaps even our career. Working with this New Moon’s energy will help us access our inner Shaman, the part of us that wants to evolve and grow, even if it’s difficult. Emotions are likely to be quite intense during this time, so we have to be extra mindful of not giving into the more destructive side of our feelings.

The Ritual:

Here’s what you’ll need for this ritual (you may need to go shopping!):

  • A little ‘cauldron’, or something resembling one. This has to be fireproof.
  • A coal to burn inside the cauldron & a lighter
  • A beautiful container with a lid
  • A few slips of paper & a pen
  • Meditation music
  • Incense & candles

    Step One:

Set up your space and altar by lighting candles, incense and readying everything so it’s easily accessible. Now, get hold of your emotions by seating yourself comfortably (maybe with a fluffy blanket and cushion around you) and close your eyes. Notice how you may be feeling right now. If there are big emotions coming up, let them. Breath through them.

    Step Two:

Once you feel a little more grounded, you can open your eyes and begin. Grab your slips of paper and start writing down all the things our would like to purge and get rid of – from a toxic relationship, to a particular behavior, or a work situation. Try and just find one or two words for each.

    Step Three:

Now, write down all the things you would like to manifest in their place. A new love, a new perspective, a new job. Really think about what it is that you value and make sure you are aligning your goals to these values. Stay realistic, but don’t be afraid to dream big, either. Know that these things may take some time to figure out and that you may even change your mind as you go along and new things come up.

    Step Four:

The next step is to take all the things that you wish to urge and burn them, one slip of paper at a time, in the cauldron. Visualize these slowly disappearing from your life, disappearing, dissolving and evolving.

With the slips of paper containing your wishes and manifestations, also visualize them coming true and give thanks as if they have actually happened. Then place them lovingly in the container you prepared, perhaps even popping a crystal or two inside to seal the deal.

    Step Five:

Finally, take some time to just sit quietly and imagine what you want, what you don’t want. Connect to your breath, feel your feelings. Allow any emotion to come up, and if you feel the need to journal, do just that. Allow a few months (sometimes even years!) for these things to manifest.
